Sisterhood of the Travelling Pattern: last update.

Hi Stitchers!

At last, here's the final pic of my comforted/comforting Stitcher by Waxing Moon Designs (yet she's not smiling, San. I will leave her like that and hide her when you come!!! lol!).
I really loved the original design with the pink dress, but I wanted to bring my own touch, so I chose some blue that I was itching to use.
The stitcher looks very much like me -apart from the dress. This is what DH said.
And most of all, she did comfort me! With the RSI, I had to be reasonable with my stitching, so every moment spent on her was really savoured...
In fact, I have finished her a few days ago, and the pattern is on its way to Barbara. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have, Barbara.
And above all, thanks again, Harmien!

Now, I want to thank you all for the comments on my posts about the meaning of dreams. You were right about taking it easy with DH -though it's still hard. I am a symbolic person. The day when this "argument" with my mil happened, I was wearing a silver cat necklace. I took it off that day. Now it is black with all the anger I have for DH and his mother. I told him the other day...
I also wonder if he has read my post and comments because his attitude has changed for the better, and his mother simply got an email for mother's day: he didn't go nor phone. I told him to do either of each but he refused. I wish he'd read that he owes me his loyalty in the first place (you're right Sharon). And, as some of you have wisely said, I should not let that woman spoil my relationship with DH. The less credit I give her, the better for our family...

Daphné is doing good: her nose is back to normal except for a yellow look and dark shadows under her eyes. The pain is gone too, but she doesn't want to blow her nose... She has resumed school yesterday (and I am so trembling for her) but she missed it and she has been very much welcomed by her friends (boys only, a group of six who hugged her and jumped and I was totally upset they might hit her nose! lol!!!). I am so happy to see how popular she is. I've never been miss popularity you know, and I 've suffered from it so it's a huge relief to see that my kids melt in so easily.
The bully boy's parents have been summoned with the teacher by the director of the school and I sure hope that he calms down. Daphné is not his first victim: 7 year old and already two bad injuries on his schoolmates this year! He hasn't been expelled or what, but he's not supposed to get close to DD. We shall see as DD says that he has told her that her broken nose was nothing and that she deserves it. To be continued...

I will try to post more stitching as I have a number of finishes that I haven't shown yet that were done before the Stitcher but you know: the RSI also limited my time on computers so I preferred commenting than posting... I have learnt my lesson; though now that the pain is almost gone, I have increased my stitching time and I don't feel like being reasonable considering all the current stress...

I can't finish without a special thank you, Ladies. Your support, comments, ideas have been so comforting to me. Your friendship is priceless. And just a small remark too: have you noticed how close the words Stitcher and Sister are? Well, to me (I'm not a native of this language), they are, and I think that goes beyond sounds.

Hugs to you all, Stitchers!

Lili

Yeap, Lili, my hands are extended through the grills of my gate, awaiting the postman! :)

You did a great job on the stitcher. I love the colour of the dress. I don't think I am that adventurous, but I might just rise to the ocassion! ;)

Glad to hear DD is much better and things are settling down a little with DH and the RSI is controllable. Do take it easy, you don't want the RSI to snake up on you again, now do you? :D

Take care Lili.

Oooh, I love your Stitcher, sister :o) Great idea, to make her look a little different to suit your taste. Harmien will be thrilled to see yours finished.
Glad everything's going a bit better now. Do take care!

I agree with DH: the top and bottom of the body seem separate...because there's a stitched area in the same colour than the fabric !!!! Makes me want to colour it with the marker pen (booum, Lili collapses).

As for the mouth... hum.... you are torturing me ;)
BUt what about a little nose. Not the original one, something smaller? I feel something is missing in that area, and if you want to pull an Hello Kitty, it's up to you but... think... nose... ;)

Lili ~ Your Sister Stitcher looks fantastic! You did truly amazing work and how wonderful that you are now passing it along to Barbara.

I'm so terribly sorry to read about poor Daphne but also glad to read that she does not need surgery and is recovering. How awful for you all! {{{hugs}}}

Your stitcher turned out lovely with the blues. A very pretty finish and I'm glad it was a comfort to you as you healed from the RSI.

So glad that Daphne's nose is better and that she's back at school. Hopefully the rest of the year will go smoothly for her with no more problems and that the school does something about the boy. If he is this way now, if they don't stop it by his teen years he'll be even worse. Also, I'm happy that things are going better with DH. Hopefully he'll step in and not allow your MIL to cause such disruptions and hurt.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your recent stitching. However, do take it easy also, you don't want your RSI to flare up again from doing to much to soon. Your stitching sister {{hugs}}

She's beautiful Lili! You have made me put that pattern on my want list :o) The colors you choose work so well together. I'm serious...I'm going to email you for advice!

That's great that DD is back to school :o) What a rotten child that boy is! He should have been expelled. I'd say he's got some issues that need to be seriously looked at.

Don't let you MIL get in between you too. I'm sure that's what she wants and you shouldn't give the satisfaction ;o) We're here for you!!!!

Your stitcher is lovely - She really belongs to you with the changes that you made. I am glad that she gave you comfort too.
Daphne appears to have a great character - it is a source of inspiration to a mother to see this in your child. (alternating to 'where did this child come from - not me!!!)
You sound like you are in a better place today - take care Lili :)

She looks great Lili. You did a great job and I love the color of her dress. It will be such fun to see how all of the Sisterhood adapt her to their own wants/needs.
Glad Daphne is doing well and I am so very thankful that you are better too my friend.
Have a good week.

Hi lili,

Your version of comforting stitcher is lovely. I do like the fact that you used blue instead of pink. I also like the fact that the image is more like you. Makes it so much more personal. I still love this idea of the sisterhood of the travelling pattern. It has given me an idea for something but we'll see.

I am glad things have gotten better between you and DH. There is nothing worse when a third person is involved in your relationship. Sounds like he has listened to how you are feeling.

Oh, I have finished your sock monkey and I am posting it out to you on Wednesday. I hope you like it.

Your stitcher is lovely Lili! Congrats on the finish. I am glad that things are getting a little better for you. Especially that RSI and your DH. I think that the little boy who broke Daphne's nose should be suspended from school at the very least! What's Corentin up too?
