Itch to stitch for Halloween

Hi Stitchers!

Just to show you the latest issue of Just Cross Stitch Halloween (Sep-Oct 2010). Here's a scan of the ornies page. I have just received my copy and I can tell you my fingers are itching and my head is twisting... I think (hope) you can click on the pic for a better view.

Up the page left to right are:
Mummy's Boy by Charlette Collectibles
Perched on a Pumpkin by Blue Ribbon Designs
Winifred Witch by M Designs (her eyes and lips are stitched one on one, oh so dainty...)
Halloween Greetings by  Plum Street Samplers
El Dia de los Muertos by Monsterbubbles

Down the page, left to right, upper row:
Sally Stitch Witch by Brooke's Books
Jack O' Lantern by Casey Buonaugurio
Boo Bunny by The Victoria Sampler
Pumpkin Fairy by Fresh Threads Studio
By the Full Moon by Ink Circles
Trick or Treat Tree by Heartstrings/The Artists Collection

Down the page, left to right, last row:
Fleur de Boo by Miss Crescent's Crowne (that would mean mud flower in French, not so glamorous...)
Tricks or Treats by Val's Stuff
Moon Dance by Wee Works
and last but not least, Halloween Ghost by San Man Originals.

And now comes the big question: which one shall I stitch first? Oh my... I think I will kit up several at a time and zap...

Nothing new around here. The kids are still off school until September. Since school finished at the end of June, they tend to look forward to meeting their friends again. Corentin will enter High School but he's not too stressed out, apparently. Yet.

Here's a small ornie inspired by a Heart in Hand leaflet. I have added white to the black cat and named her Pumpkin, in memory of our beloved Pumpkin who died last Dec. This is my August contribution to the Hallosal.

I have been quite sick in the last weeks, and very slowly recovering.

I owe a few emails, and some packages are ready to be sent but going to the post office is a serious issue as far as I'm concerned...

Off for a little rest.

Hugs to you all, Stitchers!

Hi Lili,
Saw the JCS magazine yesterday at the shop and you are so right - the patterns are adorable. You are going to have a great time stitching these lovelies.

I'm so sorry you haven't been well. Will get an email off to you later today.

Hugs from Margaret

I know what you mean about the itch. Once I had this issue, the summer stitching is slowly inching further away as I pick out the fabric and threads for these pretties!

My vote is for the SanMan Originals. It's so cute! :)

I hear ya Lili!!! I have been looking my issue over a few times a week just dreaming of stitching all of those ornies from the JCS...I know that I will definitely be stitching the "Tricks or Treats" one from the last row. And on the correct fabric since I bought extra last year. They are all too cute for words this year!

I hope you're feeling better! I like your stitching--very cute! I can't wait to see what you decide to stitch first from this issue. I wasn't as pleased with it as I was with last year's issue, but I do love Paulette's ornament.

I LOVE making holiday themed projects, that way you don't have to figure out where to display them all year long. Looks like I will need to pick up a copy of this magazine. Those look adorable!

Lili, I am so sorry to hear that you have been unwell. I hope that you are feeling much better now. I am hoping to make an order this weekend and I hope this issue is available to purchase. The Halloween ornaments are great.

Thank you for posting this detailed lineup, Lili!

Now, I am certain I want this magazine. :)

Your Cat and pumpkin ornament is perfection! :D

I agree with Berit. Just ordered it along with the JCS Christmas 2010 issue!! Not that I have a whole lot of stitchy inspiration, but perhaps leafing through the mags will make my fingers itch...LOL!! Take care!!
