My favourite Xmas Patterns by French Designers.

Hi Stitchers!

A short post to show you my favourite Xmas designs by French designers. :) I know many of my readers are american, and they inspire me a lot. So I thought, why not show them what we have here in France? ;)

This is Jardin Privé's Noël Patchwork. Nathalie Cichon offers this as a pdf, very convenient. You can find it here.

And this is what I have stitched so far:

I have made a few changes, couldn't help myself...

And this is "Sous la neige" (under the snow) by Tralala. No pdf there but Corinne Rigaudeau sells her designs there and you get a free chart with your order.
There are two versions.

This is the pink one:

This is the blue one:

I know, pink and blue, confusing actually. I thin the name refers to the colour of the stars. ;)
And this is my progress on the pink version:

I'm enjoying stitching it, together with friends on a French Board.

I don't buy many French magazines, but this one, Mains et Merveilles, has ended in my basket the last time I went for groceries and you can see a few pics there.
I have immediately started the 123 Citrouille project that you can see on page 4. I just cannot resist reindeers... :D

This is my progress so far, in front of Falling skies yesterday evening. I'm using Australian silks (Gumnut Yarns) offered by Tessa. I have never enjoyed using silks before, but this one is just perfect: doesn't tangle or make knots, doesn't get stuck in my fingers (rough skin). Great great silk and such a lovely colour. Thank you so much, Tessa. :)

I have chosen the fabric, lace and ribbon to achieve the design as in the mag. Will show you when done.

And (almost) last but not least, this year, a great SAL by Anne Régnier (Tournicoton) is taking place at The Thread Basket. See there.

Last for today, this wonderful Xmas Tree by Elisa. Every year, she offers us a tree, they're all very different. Only the last one can be found online, the other ones have been retired.

The 2012 tree is my favourite by far. Pay Elisa a visit there and see for yourself. I'm about to kit it up...

That's it for now.

Hugs to you all, Stitchers!

What fun pieces, they all look like they'd be a joy to stitch. Winter is just getting ready to start here, so they are perfect for the season (although I wish the season we were going into was summer again, ugh I hate winter). I'll enjoy watching your various pieces grow.
